Premium or Standard?
Same coding system, same app, same bricks. The difference is how much hardware is in the box — and how far the course programme goes.

The course programme
Three levels: mechanics, then powered machines, then programming. Standard includes the first 23 video lessons, Premium all 47. Every lesson is in the free Makerzoid app or at edu.makerzoid.co.uk.

So which one?
Standard if this is a first robotics kit and you'd rather see whether it holds their attention before spending more. Everything in it is real — same coding, same app, same bricks — and it can be expanded later.
Premium if they already build a lot, or you want the kit to last. Two motors and two sensors mean a model can move and react at the same time, which is where the interesting projects start — and the programme runs to 47 lessons instead of stopping at 23.

The four Makerzoid ranges
Three build-and-code ranges that share one system, plus a competition line — filter the shop by the one that fits.
What parents and teachers say
A good kit, I like it and it's interesting because it has different models and parts that bring the model to life Pros: This kit is really cool
Translated from Ukrainian
A good set of components. It combines the best of regular Lego and Lego Technic. There's a handy app. The app teaches the child the laws of physics (mechanics and a bit of electronics). You can also program in the Scratch pseudo-language. Kids around 10 will m…

My son spends hours on this kit.

We're happy with the set. Quality parts, lots of build options. We bought it for kids aged 8 and 9. They build and program sometimes following the instructions, sometimes using their own imagination. Instructions in Ukrainian can be downloaded via a QR code; t…

An interesting kit; instructions in Ukrainian are available via a QR code. The app is in English, and my child had no problems figuring it out. You can build new interesting models every day. Pros: good quality parts, a handy storage container, an accessible a…

We got Robot Master as a gift for our daughter, and we were pleasantly impressed. This toy teaches kids to build and program robots, which are extremely useful skills for the future.

More than a toy — how it teaches
The same build-and-code method schools use, guided step by step in one free app.
Build it
Follow clear picture steps in the app — from big 3+ blocks to 500-part robots. No printed manual to lose.
Code it
Drag Scratch 3.0 blocks to bring models to life. It’s the visual language used in classrooms — no typing, no experience needed.
Grow with it
Start with guided models, then add sensors and logic and invent your own. One kit keeps giving for months.
Works on any phone or tablet — or in a browser.
Questions parents ask
The things worth knowing before the box arrives.
Does it need batteries?
The motorised kits need 2 × AA batteries, which are not included in the box. The non-motorised building sets need none.
Do we need a tablet or phone?
Yes — a phone, tablet or computer. The picture-based build guides are in the free Makerzoid app, so you follow the steps on a screen. No tablet? They also open in any browser at edu.makerzoid.co.uk. For the programmable kits you also code in Scratch 3.0 — in the app or online at lab.makerzoid.com. No coding experience needed.
Can my child manage it alone, or do I need to help?
The app instructions are picture-based and step-by-step, so most children build the first models on their own. Younger children (6–7) enjoy it more with an adult for the first build; after that they’re usually independent.
Is it compatible with LEGO®?
The 6+ technical kits fit classic LEGO® bricks, so an existing collection stays useful. The 3+ big-block range works with LEGO® DUPLO® and similar large-block systems. The two ranges do not connect to each other.
How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?
We deliver to a pickup point or to your door. Delivery options and prices are shown at checkout. Full details on our Delivery & Payment page.
What about returns and warranty?
Every kit comes with a 24-month warranty, and you can return it within 14 days without giving a reason. See our Return Policy for the details.
What if a part breaks or goes missing?
Get in touch and we’ll sort out a replacement part. The kits are also cross-compatible within their range, so spares from another Makerzoid set fit too.
